Ok. It's the start of a new year.

Who is up for a little traditional hotrods and customs amature video contest?

Let's try to have videos made only with footage shot from this year, as in new videos- not rehashed stuff already in the can.

    Roadtrips
    Events
    Solo drives
    Car people
    Scenic drives

We can take the whole year to get it done- submit for "judging" in December 2010.

    What say you?

Cool!! Davina just bought us an HD camera for our baby's birth but I can always put it to use for the HAMB.....I might even splice in some of the after birth for good measure. I just made myself sick.

I need to invite a couple of strippers over and maybe some stripers to.

shoot it however you want. But it might be easier for us all to watch if it's presented here digitally on youtube or something similar.

YouTube for the win. Everybody can see all the videos (no strings attached) that way. By the way, this is the coolest idea that's been suggested in a while.

    Sounds like fun.
Looking forward already to all the clips.

I think every uploaded clip to youtube should contain some kind of keyword or tag so searching for all the clips will be easier later on.

Most of the skate guys I know are shooting with Canon HV30's, though there have been a few guys starting to play with the Canon 7D. Just FYI. I'm selling both my camcorders and my D60 to try and get a 7D.

Yeah, I have been out of the loop with the stunt stick fellers for a couple years so I am not sure what people are using these days. I knew zman would know. That dude still shreds!!!!!

Well I have a Sony HD handy cam so I think you guys are already ahead of the game as far as quality.

    This should be pretty fun!

Check out the new Panasonic AG-HMC-40 . If my Sony HVR-A1J didnt works so well iwould be all over it.

  22. Sounds like an event name in the works,as well as an event itself. "Stripers and Strippers",or perhaps "Striped Strippers" or "Stripped Stripers"(ok,maybe not THAT one-conjures up potentially ugly imagery),or "Stripes and Strips" or...the possibilities are almost endless.

My ol' Kodak EasyShare has vid capability;when the Sport Fury hits the road...this could get interesting. I second the motion.

We can start another thread and everyone can link or window their videos from whatever hosting site they use.

Weird. I was just thinking about buying a new camera and making a video yesterday , I have some nice software [ pinnacle] Then I see this, I think you can count me in.

1 Question , my car is a little new for this site , there for I don't post much about it.
1965 Impala 2 door hard top , does it qualify for this and will points be deducted lol.

Looking forward to seeing peoples artistic side.
