I've always kept a low profile here on the HAMB about my old showrod. I remember seeing it at the shows as a kid. Who knew one day I would own it. I found it in a sad state nearly 15 years ago. recognizing it for what it was I brought it home and have been collecting and repairing it ever since. It has provided me with more fun than any other car I've ever owned! if this car could talk it has had a very interesting life. from car shows, to produced in scale model, dragracing, even a small part in a movie. recently my son compiled this video from some of my old pictures of it. I hope you enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj76nl4Ctrg
Did you get the original fuel system? Looks like some early injection set-up but really couldn't tell from the pictures. Great job on the resto.
That is one of the coolest things I have seen in awhile. I was digging the early pics and then noticing the later pictures with the Cragars and other mods. Was hoping you were gonna rebuild to the earlier style and then BAM there it was. Unbelievable!!!
mark moriarty, does this mean I can join the "you got it made" hamb club? evil, I think my son learned a little about editing watching your movies. thanks for all the kind words guys.
Very cool. I love the old (and new) T buckets. My first hot rod was a T-bucket...sure would like to have it back. You've got a keeper.
AG F/C originally the car had a polished scott fuel injector that I was able to purchase from a previous owner. this car was built for show and the injector doesn't work good on the street. so for now I am running the strombergs. someday when I return the car back to show only I will install the injector. (If that day ever comes)
I was just wondering, thanks. The Strombergs look as good as anything could ,good choice. I liked your restored T first because it is bitchen and second because I am considering Jim Ewings "Texas-T". I think I know where it's hiding, just need the nuts to buy it then the dollars to restore it. Your's is helping with the decision. Thanks for posting. Luv it!
Very cool Wally. your boy did a good job, but why not show us what we all really wanna see? wheelie!!! Hammer down. this thing sounds nasty.
Glad I could help.. Wait till you got to get a "Got it Made" tattoo.. Then your really in Right Mark?
Don't know how I missed this the first time around. The car looks as good in person as it does in the video. And yes, it is fast. The time spent getting the car ready for the 2009 World of Wheels in Chicago was incredible, but the results were awesome.
What a Great Video! I have an old v8-60 Midget that Bill Von Esser owned or sponsored or worked on in the early 60's. When I bought the car it came with a NOS in the box Isky cam kit for a V8-60, addressed and billed to Bill.
