Just booked a moho, were driving our hot rods down and pickin up the moho in Bako and parking it in the pits. Gonna be a hoot. Mad thrash on my '35 Phaeton to get it done for the drive down! Can't wait! -Shiny
29EHV8- You are hardcore! I've seen a lot of weak sauce rodders on the HAMB that wouldn't drive around the block for some good drags! Glad to see someone other than myself willing to travel for the "Cause".
I drove my pick up over 4 hours to the hot rod reunion in 2007 (in bakersfield also). Went through 3 tanks of fuel! But as always, totally worth it!!
I'll be filming track action...Frank Kunkel Check the Nostalgia Videos out...www.franksdragracevideos.com
The Brissette & Alexander AA/FD Cackle Car will "BE THERE !" 45 year anniversary ! Come on by ! We'll be burning up some NITRO !
As far as I know I'll be there helping my friend Steve with his '32 Bantam. It features a blown BB on alcohol and turns ET's right around 7 flat. In other words, it hauls ass! And we will be too as our starting point is Rochester, NY. It is a long haul, but I'm already looking forward ot it.
I doubt if I'll go, the March Meet isnt that great anymore. Most of the guys I know from this area feel the same and arent going either. Save your money for Dragfest or the CHRR in October.
we will be there. we always have a good time at the march meet. hopefully we wont blow up another motor this year.
Well, cancel that! We won't be making the trip until 2011 as Steve is setting up a new motor (580" BB!) with the old injection/blower combination and wants to exercise it before heading West. My mistake, sorry...
I heard the same thing so I have not been for a while now.... was thinking about going this year just to check it out again.
Hey Muttley--I know you're from the area and been around for a while but I have to know how the March meets used to be. I've been to the HRR s in CAL and BG and I thought the March Meets were much better. I found the reunions were more show than go. The competition at last years March Meet was outstanding. I've been looking forward to this year since last March.--just my $0.02
If "Riceman" is gonna be there, I'm gonna be there! My big break occurred at the MM 47 years ago in 1963.
I'll be there running in Hot Rod...if we get the car done in time. Hitting the wall really kinda sets you back a couple of weeks!
Well, I cant really say, I've only been going to the March Meet for the last eight years or so. Before that I always worked on weekends and never had the chance.
The March Meets have always been a great ride; for any of you who don't want to come.........that's great too!! Saves me on having to park in the damn orchards. =oP I'll miss ya Mutt. As for the rest of you, COME ON!! Whoot! It's ALWAYS a large time! Jesus, Texifornian is from Bakersfield................Oh well okay, then WELCOME HOME! =O)Hahaha once a Bakertuckian, ALWAYS a Bakertuckian!
