This first one, one of a pair of chopped 39's a little ways out of the neighborhood. First time I saw them, both were in the driveway, but now the semi-finished one is in the back.
looks like your out in the middle of BFE man! and that thing is in your neighborhood?! and is fo sale?
A shot of what is/was a drag race coupe. Looks like this is an original and was used for a mold for the brown body. The cars are fairly radical and at first I thought the blue one was glass as well, but going back for another look we could see where the paint was ground off to bare metal on both body and rear fenders. In a small way, the original looks like it was a full custom once upon a time and later on it was converted for drag racing. Kind of hard to tell in these pics, but the chops are well done. The 39's and 40's being one of the toughest cars to chop as far as having it look right when done. There's a strong drag racing contingent here in town and more than likely we'll see the blue coupe up and running come summer.
What about the OTHER blue coupe? The one in the second photo... looks like a '33 Willys from that angle...
Blown... Are you sure you are not talking about the blue car in the 3rd photo? I think that that is one of those "Essex-quarts"... Much more rare than the Willy's...
