DON C. WOOSLEY Don C. Woosley, 63, of Finley Road, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, at 12:55 p.m. at his home. He was born in Louisville on Nov. 16 to Jack G. and Beatrice (Lively) Stone, who survives in Danville. He was the owner of Wheels Inc., a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 1970s and 1980s NHRA most-winning driver and 1982 NHRA World Championship winner. Out of seven to nine years, he won the division three times. He was also an avid catfisherman. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St. by the Rev. Gerald Peeples. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Melanie Mudge in the Emmanuel Episcopal Memorial Gardens. . Don Woosley: The winningest driver in the 70's and 80's from the North Central (Div3) with seven div. titles in a nine year span from 1977 - 1985. He also won the world championship in 1982.
