This thread would not be complete without a mention of Rudy Rodriguez and his talented eye for all things Hot Rod !,...... I am always amazed buy his eye for proportion and era correct components,..... I would love to meet him one of these days as I am a big fan of just about everything he builds.

I guess you could have found a wrecked caddy in 49...

...were they making speed equipment for the OHV that early?

The car was built to emulate a 1950 bonneville car
I think if you had the dough you probably could have gotten a cad v-8 from the factory. Edelbrock jumped on speed parts for the olds and caddies pretty much right away. this T has velcro on the tonneau too..it falls into the could have, but probably wasn't category.

another work in progress. hope to drive to pomona in june 2010. pre 1940 parts for the most part. couple items that are later but had to use for now to put it on the road. got a 1939 flathead and 39 tranny going in it in a few weeks. got to freshen up the 4 banger for the trip to callie.
Jason Smith owns the black one next to mine. it will be driven to pamona as well. at least that's the plan. :D. it's got a LB 21 stud and original front, rear, brakes, etc.

1937 banjo wheel and 1934-1935 buick series 40 gauge panel mounted upside down. original floors and such. brookville dash that's a work in progress.

has homemade header on it here but has original manifold on it now.

  27. Great early color photos, Kurtis!! The clarity was very good in the 40's-50's due to the medium format cameras used. The photog on the stand in the first pic of #483 has the
classic example; a 4x5 Speed Graphic.....

  28. These color photos are amazing. And the amount of people that are there is crazy. I guess I never pictured it this way. Awesome photos! Thanks!
