Hmmmmmm......Im half way through ripping into my 62 Pontiac.

Progress has really slowed since my neighbours dobbed me in to the council for painting in the driveway, so each project gets slower and slower.....but I'll get there!

    Limp,

    Nice chop!

Just love those mail slot rear windows.

Are you a member over on the FTE site also?

Would like to know more about your truck and your plans. What's the drivetrain?

    Later,

A little bump, and a Question.
What sunvisor will fit my '54?
I have searched around and didn't really find any info, or is that because it's a "no-no" to put a visor on?
    Thanks.

  10. I have only seen just couple with a visor, but I am not sure where they even came from.

Good rat rod project ;) Has bucket loads of patina that can only happen when something is sitting on it's side for the past 40 years in the mud. Throw in a Mazda truck frame, generic small block, and a tractor grill and one could be cruising in style with this puppy.

Well, here's my two cents worth; I bought a '53 - '55 visor from Big Jims fender skirts and here's what it looked like fitted, however, make sure you read on after the photo.
Now first off, it was a pain in the ass to fit and there's no way of supporting the centre of the visor without drilling the roof, however, we went ahead and fitted it, without the central support, and I managed to convince myself it looked great. Then one night coming back home at about 85mph (yeah I know, too fast but what ya gonna do?) it parted company with a BANG and damaged the paintwork down the side of the vehicle as it flew by. Funny thing is, when I went out to survey the damage the following day I realised I'd been kidding myself all along, and she looked much better without it any way!
So, in conclusion, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Good luck, whatever you decide,
