MYSTERY SOLVED!!!! This explains the big ol poppin sound Mike and I heard all the way back here in KANSAS, last Sunday afternoon!!!! It was this guy pulling his head out of his butt AFTER he wrecked YOUR CAR!!!!!

Knowing just how heavy these cars really are (we have a 66 Catalina) this clown must have been really blind!!! That happens ya know when your head is somewhere it shouldn't be.

    Sorry for all this damage!!!

Uh, be prepared to experience maximum resistance from the insurance company. If you are lucky, it wont happen, but it often does. You "old car" will likely not be "worth" anything to them. Stand your ground and don't accept an offer from them if you do not believe it is fair. You were wronged, and this needs to be made right. It is not about what the car is "worth" (to the insurance company).

Man that sucks but don't be fooled '66 Catalinas Weight (lbs.): 3695-4030
Just for reference a new 4 door Honda Accord is 3800lbs. and SUV and pickups are way heavier.

Thats a pretty good whack to buckle the opposite side. Good excuse to redo the car on someone elses dime.

Still, always sucks when a ride gets damaged.

I used to valet when I was younger for a big company. I used to park cars at a card club in Commerce. If someone had a cool car, we would take it for a ride. We also went through each car and took whatever we wanted. NEVER EVER valet park. BTW, I am not proud of doing that, but I was young and dumb.

If their insurance company gives you any hassle, you can always sue the valet and the valet company in small claims court. The limit in small claims in Califoirnia is $7,500.00 for each individual. Also, in small claims you can't be represented by an attorney so the insurance carrier will send the adjuster. You will be paid for the property damage either way.
