Can anyone point me in a direction to find lowering springs for 52 and 53 Desotos? Appreciate any help. I want to stay away from blocks if possible.

I called these guys http://www.coilsprings.com/ They asked how low I wanted it, year, make, model and engine... 2 weeks later I had a 59 Chevy that sat 3" lower than stock but rides like a new car... well, a new 59 Chevy anyway. I think it cost about $300 shipped for 4 coils.

That would work for the front, but the rear are leaf springs. Any more....?

do a search. This has been covered a lot on here. Blocks are easiest, but you can also go to your local spring shop and have the leaf springs de-arched.

You should try Jamco or Fatman.

hey TIME...the best way is blocks, or remove a few springs. but on a heavy mopar? or like the man said heat treat. i do know a few cases where the leaf springs were reverced. call me POP...or the old FART!

Hammer the leaves on an anvil. de-arch it for $0. That is how it is done. Turn it upside down, get some heavy gloves and go to town.
