torchman 49s '49 Custom R&C Cover Car

Congratlations Dave on the feature in the new Rod&Custom, January 2010. Damn, I thought this was October. Your car is a piece of rolling art.

Congratulations Dave! Your Shoebox definitely deserves it. Stopped me in my tracks when I saw it parked on the side road near the Santa Maria Inn.

I don't know if I've ever used this word to describe a car before, but that car is just luscious!

 

I've seen the car several times, and it is always BITCHIN!!!

Hotrods are supposed to look like they're going 80mph when they're standing still. Customs are supposed to look like they're standing still at speed. Believe me, this car does just that.

Congrats. Really good article. I remember seeing that car in Santa Maria, it was one of the nicest cars there.

 

Nice car. My experience in body work is not significant enough to understand the explanation of the work on the front fenders/headlights. Could someone explain how it was done or sketch the lines, or something? Thanks for being patient.
