  2. I could probably help put if I had a better idea of what you're going for with it. Is it going to be a shop truck, etc.? I totally dig this truck by the way!

  3. I love the flaked roof and side spear, very bad ass

  4. sweet ride !!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't know, do you really want a dude you don't know coming up with it? It looks nice as is. Shop names on doors are cool if you have a shop, but not so much if you don't.

    Your truck is real nice.
I've never seen the name/logo on the back of the cab between the bed and the rear window but,I always thought that it would be a good "not to flashy"place to do it.
    I'm also thinkin' Jeff Norwell.
    Have fun,Smokey

No offense Jake, but, really... Do we really have to see Oprah now on every thread?? WTF?

    Am I missing something??

PS: The truck is SWEET! Not sure that I would want any logo on it. It speaks for itself with the current details. Nice ride.

Crystal Blue Persuation, comes to mind but it seems it would need big chrome caddilac bullits incorperated in the grill and a small disco ball hanging from the rear view for that.............oh and some blue accent lighting...dome light etc.........It would help if it were all painted that metalic blue with a metalic silver top and bedside insert;)

    Somtimes Im an artist.
    Somtimes Im just out there.:D

I agree! Nice truck. I don't know if it needs a logo/name. Looks good the way it is!

sweet ride!! Why not leave it the way it is, less is more?
Call it the Night Express - and place stolen parts in the rear, thats what I would paint on any p/u or van

  15. Wow. With all the talented artists I've seen on this board, I gotta say, THESE are the responses?:rolleyes::confused:

  16. I think this is a sign... Oprah spelled backwards is Harpo... Who was also a Marx brother... Hmmmm.

    I'll work on something tonight...

Maybe the talented ones are just sick of doing spec? :)

Unsolicited opinion: Door logos look best on trucks that represent an actual shop or business.

I have to agree. It's kinda like asking all the car painters to come over and paint my car. And if I like one of the paint jobs - I'll keep it. I'm sure there are many guys who create art for fun but some of us do it for a living.

  21. "My bad". I thought most of the members here were aware I own my own shop of 18+ years. "Groucho's Performance". And I've seen PLENTY of similar requests that netted some pretty good ideas before. Maybe no-one wants to help Da Grouch? No problemo

  22. And I make my living as a mechanic. Should I NOT help those on this board with mechanical woes in the future?

Honestly, I had no idea. I thought you were just some grouchy MFer who had the good fortune of owning a lot of really cool cars. Haha.

But if you haven't figured it out by now – artists and designers can be a moody bunch of self righteous jerks. I've been doing it for 18+ years.

  24. Well, I hope one of those moody artists needs a grouchy mechanic someday (LOL)

Just paint a diamond ring on the door.

(I'm sure you remember the joke about the store front with just one diamond ring in the window?)

So, A real shop truck with a real shop name on the side? That is novel and I am digging it!

I do kind of like some of the faux shop names I see on rigs, but they get old after awhile. Every once in awhile there is a good one, but for every good one it seems there are a dozen sort of dumb lettering jobs.

I think using an actual hot rod truck with your shop name on the side is ultra cool!!!

So, that being the case, it will be interesting to see if anyone comes up with any ideas!

    Your welcome.;)....Dont mention it.....................:D
Maybe you shouldnt have singled out the pro artist in your heading,
If they were going to post they probably would have anyway.

I am not a artist, but in all honesty I am not as inspired to help someone make something cooler so they can sell it,as I would be for the underdog who is trying to make his own personal ride cool.

Hope you find what you are lookin for;)
    Peace:cool:
