One day and a sheet of aluminum= decklid

I made this today. Im not an aluminum expert, but i am starting to really love this stuff.

I was planning on building one with louvers for the "ROCKET SLED".

 

looks pretty expert to me,,,how did you do the circular holes? they look like they are chamfered

 

Where were you when we were forming the top piece for the tail on the belly tank? Looks sweet, nice job

 

The holes are done with my trusty 3 inch mitler bros knockout punch.

The car it goes on is not mine. The guy that owns it wants aluminum, and I am always eager to do new and exciting things, so aluminum it is.

 

After working it on aircraft for ten years, I'd much rather form alum over steel any day.
