Congrats Scooter. Sounded great and yes it is a good thing you did the second video, the first was horrible. Looks like I need to take you out for a celebratory beer.

Thanks everyone for all the nice words!!! I am so excited!! Still giddy as all get out!!! Been a looooong road to get to this point! All down hill from here... I HOPE!

I'm SUPER motivated now! It's like a new rush of building energy has come over me. I jammed on the chassis the rest of the weekend. Progress is good! Here's a few sneak peeks of what I got accomplished...

Lots of smoothing of welds and getting some gussets done. Still a lot more to do and I need to blow it all apart so I can finish the front of the frame as well as flip it over and get all the welds on the bottom. Again! Lots more to do! If it looks unfinished, it probably is...

Made mounting points for the shock links...

The shocks are an interesting story, actually...

I got them from a guy in Tennessee that another HAMBer referred me to. They are NOS Military shocks. They were still bolted into their oak crates wrapped in wax paper and had a sticker with the MIL-stock number as well as a stocking date of 1951. They were still sealed with the original tape and everything. I had no idea what they were until one day I was doing some work at my previous job (military contract) and ran across an old air field radar trailor that had them on it. I was able to see what the suspension setup was like as well as find out what the trailer weighed. Should be a very cool setup. They are adjustable also. The only draw-back is that I have all right hand side shocks. I will have to re-index the arms of at least two and possibly all of them. They are NOT easy to get off the spline and applying heat may damage the seals, so I may have to make a tool/puller to make it happen. We'll see.

    DAMN! Looks great!
You have a great style and talent there, but we already knew that. Like someone else mentioned, you also have a good photographer's eye.

Truly Outstanding! I thank you for keeping me inspired on my Sedan
