Ford Wheel Width Questions...

    1940 Ford Standard- What width were the wheels?
    4"?
    4.25"?
    4.50"?

    I though 4" wheels came on V8-60.

    I think all passenger 40's had 4" wheels except for the v8-60's which had 3-1/2". They're pretty rare.

     
  3. Yes, '40-1 pass 4", '40 V8-60 3.5", '42-8 pass 4.5", some Mercs were 4.5", some Lincolns were 5", '42-up PUs were 4.5", 5", 5.5", and 6"(rare). The wider truck wheels tend to be the crookedest, ugliest wheels youve ever seen!
