Kind of reminds me of those red noses that clowns put on.

The effect looks a little wierd, but I like the simplicity of the car. Sans chrome and dingo-balls.

I've been running wider front tires myself since I've gone to 5" rims.

I'm not sure about the numbers this year but there are typically over 12,000 preregistered pre '49 cars at this event.

there were many parts vendors in the swap area too but I chose to share a few pics of the project vehicles. Note the '40 Willys for $35,000 and the "garaged 49 years" sign on the ford. It gets pretty hot (humid) wandering around in the sun on the first week of August in KY...

... so occasionally I step inside to check out the over 500 vendors in the air conditioned Kentucky Exposition Center.

I recognize my truck in the background of the 2nd set (48 Ford Poncho), Buckshot, and the model a sedan with scallops. All in the second set.

I ran my hands all over these, for a good 10-15 minutes.

That's as close as I will ever get, notice the price on them.

    Hi, Steve Brandenburg Here from
    http://brandenburgswoodwork.com

I Also attended the 40th annual NSRA Nationals this year, on Friday and Saturday.
Showing my 1929 Ford Model A Woody Wagon

Also at the show, I was showing my Crafts. A 1:1 Scale Hand Carved Wooden Chevrolet 350 Engine Replica Coffee Table. Which is shown in the picture below and on my website.

"Steve Brandenburg (right) from Lexington, KY, showed off his solid wood engine that he crafted himself out of cherry and curly maple wood. It took him 650 hours to make the wood 350 Chevy engine, which is now a base for a coffee table. Brandenburg said it is up to exact specifications, in terms of size, as a real engine. He also was showing his 1929 Model A Ford behind him. (By Geoff Oliver Bugbee, Special to the Courier-Journal) August 7, 2009."

That was a picture Taken for the Courier-Journal, A local Journal in Louisville Ky.

If by any chance you came by my Car and had taken some pictures, I would love to see them. Either way, it was a great weekend and It's good to see people showing some support by posting pictures online of some of the many great cars there.

    -Steve
