With inspiration like that, you can't go wrong. Sell the fenders and other superfluous parts to the guys who are telling you to keep the fenders and let them build a full-fendered car!:D

  3. Awesome score! It's so complete and pristine, seems a shame to part it out just for the body. I'd love to see that as a traditional early 50s fendered hopup... 16" steels, juice brakes, lowered, 12 volt conversion, with Winfield head / dual carb, maybe a T-5 and an open drive conversion to make it roadworthy.

Just my humble 2c tho. Good luck with it, can't wait to see how it turns out. Congrats.

Man, thats a great car. Put it all back together and drive the hell out of it. You can decide what your gonna do why enjoying it as is. A buddy of mine did this same thing, and is having a blast driving it around stock.

  5. the black on black coupe is the best looking one in my opinon, with the bolts in the frame and the fender wells makes it look like the body was made for that frame.

cant wait to see the work on that car

  9. Love to see those rust free California cars. You are so close to being on the road now,you ought to run it as a banger while you do your chassis work. You might could even trade it later for one already chopped and channeled.Looks like it has 32 headlights on it.

Keep the fenders on it, there are not enough fendered traditional cars. You can always take them off later.

I love that red coupe. The build that guy did on his web site is great too! Call Gary Maxwell for a 32' frame. He is building mine right now and is going great! Gary's site is www.blackboardhr.com

Here are a few pictures of my project so far, model a roadster:

I thought I was getting tired of seeing A's on 32 rails, but the stance is so perfect.
