Some "concept art" really would have helped, but my car drawings look worse than the stuff my 7 year old does. I had Foose contracted to do it but the bar of gold I sent as a down payment got lost in the mail. LOL.
Actually, if I'd had drawings to work with, I probably would have chopped the car 3" instead of two.

    Here's a current picture:

What a mix of hardwood and ingenuity, Norm Abrahms don't have shit on you! The closest I'll ever get is the woodgraining on my dash!:D
PS. Bob the Ferret, I have a Bianchi too...mine's a shoulder holster haha!

Things slow down in the summer as I put miles on the 36 Nash. However.........

I got some House of Color clear on the body to protect it from moisture

The hatch is done, except for the center trim piece

Now I'm building the doors. These are REALLY REALLY difficult, but I'm struggling throught it............

Great to see some progress. This car inspired me greatly during my Zephyr build.

Wow!! I work wood from time to time, and I've often hankered to tackle some sort of woodie. I'm really impressed with your craftsmanship. What's especially inspiring to me is that you are creating a unique car, not rehabbing a old one. Great design, excellent proportions.

    Kudos!

Hi Larry, merry Christmas! how are the doors coming? Some of the pictures on page one have vanished, and this thread is too good to let it get messed up. Can you still edit those?
Keep at it, but try not to lose a finger in the process, ok?

  28. Henry, My hats off to you, sir! Been following this build, for quite awhile and am absolutely blown away at all the top shelf craftsmanship. Woodworking has always been one of my passions, so a "woody" has to be my ultimate Hot Rod to own. May never get the chance, but for now will live vicariously through you. Love the PT Cruiser back hatch!! Think Mr Alexander would also give you two thumbs up. (http://rides.webshots.com/album/557423475iLVPsn)
