Oz's 40 merc (Rod and Kulture) Lownslow's Olds was on Rod and Custom I believe. Not to mention issue 3 or Church. Old Crow's belly tank was on my issue 4 cover, and in Rodder's Journal.
I was lucky enough to have my car grace the cover of a short lived magazine called "Stock and Custom" It was a great magazine. 180 color pages with no advertisments. Guess that's why it failed.
Doc, you own a few vehicles that have had features, don't you? Was the Lunar Lander ever a cover car?
A friend of mines 1932 Ford 5 window. Paul Gilligan is a very talented builder from Vancouver,Washington; This car is a true traditional Hot Rod. Dale Moreau from Portland, Oregon shot the car, and it graced the June, 09 cover of Street Rodder.
My 1932 Ford 5 window was lucky enough to catch the eye of Portland, Oregon photographer Dale Moreau. It was in the Sept. 09 issue of Street Rodder. Dale is a real talent and loves traditional cars, as do I.
My sedan, on the new Auto Trader foray into magazines..... Todd553's gasser has been on several magazine covers....
Can you imagine what a Jalopy Journal Magazine would be filled with. History, Tech and some of the most killer Cars built right here.
I've lost track of all the magazines that the Lander has been in, but it's never made a cover. I think every car I own (except the Vipers) have been in at least one magazine. They have not all been features though. It is cool to see them in print. Doc.
I wouldn't doubt with the way things have evolved over the years that there's enough to fill an amazing quarterly (or semi-annual) magazine. What about some of the earlier builds/members? I have a feeling there's a lot that hasn't been covered. C'mon H.A.M.B. historians! What rags featured Cab's coupe?
Not my car.... but I did create the Kolorized photo of the Buddy Ohanesian 1940 Mercury that was used for #42 of The Rodders journal. I also created this cover from an black and white photo... Made me very proud!
Ive got the last 10 months of rod n custom and street rodder (20 issues total) on my magazine rack and just glancing at them theres at least 10 HAMB cars on the cover of them.
this is an AWESOME thread.Much respect to all the H.A.M.B. members and their hard work on their cars, you all deserve to grace the covers of these excellent magazine.I'm proud to be on the H.A.M.B. with all of you. Ralphy
OK this one is back wards. It was on the cover before I built it! Cover of the very first Rods & Customs in May 53, then totaled in 61. I rebuilt what was left in time for the 75th anniversary at the 2007 GNRS. So it kinda counts. The refinished car was in Street Rod Builder among others.
No way! It certainly counts. That's awesome. Where's Moriarity? I'd love to see the covers of the vehicles he owns.
This is the cover that Jeffry James will never be on...Cause he owns shit boxes... LIVE WIRE: Rod and Custom French Mag Rod and Kustom with a "K"
