Here's a couple pictures that my mom took of a slick Corvette in a park, in or around Rockford Illinois, in 1968. It looks to be a 1963? The headlight doors have been molded in, bumpers removed and it also looks to have a set of magnesium American round spokes.

You would think that when you spend all that money on building a car and fitting a blower to the engine, that the least that you would do is remove the barcode sticker

  11. There's so many "junkyard find" posts, I thought I'd put these on this thread instead. I don't know where it is, except that it's supposedly in Ontario. I got the pics from a friend, who got 'em from a friend....If I get more info I'll post. Living in Michigan, I'd love to take a day trip to this spot if possible. What a bunch of neat old iron?! I'll take that one, and that one... and especially that '60 Buick vert, and that '59, and that. . . .:

    That isn't a junkyard find. That's a museum.

  13. Ain't it though?? I didn't check to see if the pics had been posted previously, if not it's amazing someone hasn't said exactly where this place is. I'd love to know, and maybe would even have to take a "mental health" day off work just to go and slobber over these relics. I'm wondering if they'd even be for sale. My pockets probably aren't deep enough for some of 'em but boy I'd love to window shop!

I like how they have them all organized, all the Pontiacs together, all the Chevies. I'll take that black and red Pontiac convertible and that flatbed looks way to nice to be in there.

The big trouble with that Black and Red Pontiac is, You can't get body and trim parts for it. Nice car but it would cost a "Million Dollars" to resto it.

Taken by my friend Aleef ... lightly watermarked because he does this for a living. This picture is going on my wall someday.

I read over the for sale section on their website, it looks like they only sell complete bodies, I have friends that moved out there and was told from them that old cars like that are all over the place in peoples yards.

Negative Matt, I don't wanna sound gay but I like what you've done with your rear end.

That is wicked kewl!!!! What's the story on the 'bed'? Love it!! Is the lower portion of the front nerf made from a motorcycle handlebar? Love that grilleshell too. Big thumbs up! :)

  30. the "bed" is a 60 mercury cut down and about 3 feet taken out of the center..nerf bar is a seat frame from a 54 stude. it's triple wall!! grille shell is made from a 60 chevy truck!! search "ovaltine" for info..i posted alot of build pics over the years!!
