Snuck some work in today during the little mans nap! Got about 2 hrs in and got the rear member all finished up except welding it to the body. It turned out good I think for not being a custom fabricator....I attached a pic of where the battery box will go so you can get an idea. OVerall got a decent amount of work done.

Dont think the ol "whitedevil" will be ready by then....Im shooting for billetproof florida late march or so....Well tommorow im driving to tampa to get a punched out sbc "355" so I have made my choice....I know its no hemi or other expensive counterpart but it will be outfitted with vintage speed parts and this motor should push it to right around 800 mph.

Yeah it was a good feeling to get it all buttoned up!

  19. Here ya go... here is a nice example of how someone attached their third member to the axle housing to keep the pinion still. Sorry, no shots of the other end, but we are getting warmer.

Well I finally got my finned dash insert and ordered my 32 dash offline, 32 grillshell and 3 frogmouth scoops from vaphead (riley-automotive) and a 32 grill insert from bigdrew....so the car will be having a little look change this weekend if I get the parts in...Still in my drivetrain search but once I get all of my drivetrain it will really start coming together!

Also have a 66 vette 327 with alot of goodies in the crosshairs...well see how that goes! Also having a hard time picking my secondary color on the car. I would like to stick with a satin black body and?????? I need a accent color and Im tired of red for sure....I have been thinking of cobalt blue, mayan gold and root beer flake for some accent colors??? Whatcha think? Not that Im going to use it..but I love flake by the way!

Well only got about an hour in the garage the littlemans nap was short but I got my rear member that I made all closed up. Its all the little details that seem like a waste of time that I know will make it better in the end. The four open parts of the 2x1 box I cut pieces for to weld so the member is all closed. Nothing special but took a couple of pics just for kicks...grinder bit me in the hand again...I need chainmesh gloves or something!!! Here ya go just waiting for my dash, shell and insert to come in. LOTS of rain going on today which didnt help the building either

Looks good I hope that when I get a chance to see the build my 33 truck it looks as good as your build. I know how you feel about building in a 1 car garage, it's tight.

No on the flake.. I think Gold would be good but it gotta be the right gold.. I was thinking
of some gold for live wire back in the day and I searched to find the right one..

Blue is good too... I'm a sucker for blue..
