I would sure hate to snag a manhole cover at 35! That HEMI is really neat it could
    make some serious H.P.

I like the car. I have to give 2 thumbs-up for creativity and ingenuity. There really is something special here.
That being said, I am a fan of painted cars. No matter how good it looks in rust, it (virtually) will always look better painted. But, it is the decision of the builder and judging by what he has done so far, I trust his judgement on finishing the car.

I totally agree, and would suggest bronze and black for the colors.

I have read this whole tread and everyone bitching about this car...hhmm I would say lets see their build threads. Great looking car....REMEMBER it is about the fun of building, seems some of you have forgotten that

  11. Just a quick note on the front wheels.they are not woooood ! They are forged steel ,just like henry ford's front axles strong and made from real steel . They are a small version of what we call the west coast wheel on highway semis.

  12. Bonneville 2009. Front spring worked great ! Handled like a dream at high speed.

Why did it have bare 40 backing plates on the front?

No offence but i'd either run the wheels off the hub or run brakes myself, kinda comes across as tacky, but, If its just unfinished then cool

  20. Those are 1959 buick backing plates mated to ford hubs and spindles.
No guts inside . Rear brakes only. Stops real nice.

My question is: did it make a run or is the laundry on the back just for show?

It doesnt run that good yet. They had it at billetproof NW. It sounds like it only runs on 7 cylinders.

Didnt stop em from reving it up though. Still sounded sick, in both the good and the bad way

  25. Laundry is live ! ! ! !
Tune up was to fat and was drowning the plugs.
Sorted it all out at sea level then went to bonneville
changed out the pill for 5000 feet above sea level . Nice ! ! !

  29. I saw it a Bonneville '09.
It was backed out of a trailer about 20-feet......and about 3-miles from where they do tech inspections.
