Ebert took my first guess (Rolla, MO)
Ole don took my best HAMB guess (Joplin)

So I'll split the diff w/ Marshfield, MO

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!

Rick Sis was the closest with his guess of Garden City, KS which is only 57 miles from Ulysses.

Big Olds turned 100,000 miles at approx 1pm yesterday, August 20th in.....

right in front of WFO guy's house. Him and his wife invited me to stop, either for the night or for a meal/drink. Timing was such that we made plans for me to stop for a visit at lunchtime. Low and behold Big Olds turned 100,000 miles right in front of his house.

Yeah, I was kinda hoping Big Olds would be close to the 100,000 mile mark while in Joplin therefore I could cruz around and do the 100K while going down the dragstrip at MoKan but alas it was not meant to be. It's pretty special that I was in front of a HAMB pals home though. I'll alway remember the spot.

Congrats Rick! :p I really thought I had this one. I could smell the cookies but Denise fooled us and made too many side trips in Idaho. I should have taken in consideration that she had Classic Gauges and they are off by .000589385% +/-. Made me 1043 miles off my guess. We really have to give Denise a high five for this one and envious of her trip and everything she does for the hobby. I’m on my way to the bakery to look for cookies! :D

If you guys had any idea what kind of week I've had......(starting with an air conditioner, washing machine and weed eater biting the dust on the same day, and ending up with a sprained ankle)....the last thing I expected was to be the official cookie wiener!

Thanks Denise! I feel that my streak of bad luck has officially come to an end! I'm getting around on the bum ankle better today, so I plan to head on up to Mokan tomorrow. I'll try to find you there and thank you in person. This was a really fun thing for you to do for us. I just hope my new nickname (wiener) doesn't stick.

At this point, I feel kind of guilty about keeping the cookies to myself. What do all the Tulsa area guys think about organizing a first annual Tulsa cookie run?? I know, Denise can't provide cookies for a crowd, but I suppose there could be a drawing for official Denise cookies and others could bring more....?

  25. Congratulations, STICKY COOKIE WIENER!!! :D
