I'm not sure if this would be considered O/T but i doubt it. 'Spirit of 76', the streamliner Al Teague built in his shed and set many records at Bonneville is up for auction. Let's hope it stays in good hands, or personally, i hope it returns to the salt. www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars-RW.cfm?SaleCode=RW09&CarID=r190&fc=0#
Lazy White Boy ... I shot that pic with a long lens ... so the proportions are off ... while Teague's famous 'liner does have a "needle" (narrow) nose, I wouldn't characterize the car as being "small" ... it's quite long:
Great photos HEMI32. If the Nish 'Liner, Flatfire and the SpeedDemon didn't exist this would still be my favorite LSR car. Still the baddest sounding machine to ever grace Bonneville.
Car was purchased by a collector here in Salt lake. both of Al's cars are here now and will be on display in a private collection till the public building is completed.
Is that the same collection with the two MILLER race cars that were in the Pebble Beach auction 2-3 years ago?
