My good frind Tomcat46 is MISSING after leaving from Bonneville yesterday at about 10AM. If ANYBODY heading east on I-80 between Wendover and Salt Lake saw his 1965 f-100 with his BMW in the bed at any time yesterday, please call me. Have checked with the Highway Patrol and his work after his son called me today wondering where he was. You can reach me at 801-808-0344 and here are pics of his truck and bike.

Thanks for the concern guys! I just got home safe and sound. No problems on the way home, just having too much fun being an irresponsible adult.

Again sorry for the worries and THANKS for the concern.

I'm glad you made it home alright bro. This reminds me of a very sad ending to a great trip a few friends took just a couple weeks ago, so being safe and looking out for each other is DAMN important. The story:

Two weeks ago a bunch of friends went backpacking together....a 4 hour ride and then 5 days hiking and back packing. One friend had to leave early and hiked out by himself..made it to the road OK. No one who had stayed home knew he was hiking out early and his friends up in the mountains had no way of talking with him because there was no cell service. For 3 days no one suspected anything, by day 4 they get nervous that he isn't home yet as everyone else already is. Turns out he was driving home late that evening after hiking 3 hrs and 1 hour into his drive started having heart palpitations. They found him dead in his truck on day 5 about 30 yards off the road up against a tree. The family is very close friends of mine. It is a terrible tragedy, and the family is devistated...the ONLY comfort is that he wasn't afraid of death...he knew where he was going, him and his maker were pretty tight.

On these road trips, no matter what kind of hurry we are in we need to slow down and watch out for each other...even if it means delays and frustrations. Life is just too short...

  29. Yep, that's the downside of living in the cell phone era. There's no longer an excuse for not checking in. Unless you dropped your phone in the toilet. You HAVE dropped your phone in the toilet(by now) haven't you?;) Hope it was worth it!:D
