I was struck by this image by Gee in the Friday Art Show thread. It shows the Chrysler as a perfect candidate for a taildragger, better looking than Fords of that era, IMHO, with the low stock hood profile. It looks sectioned although it has not been. Below it is a '55 Safari "hardtop" that I just finished. Although it probably isn't as easily doable as the Chrysler, it's a custom/GM Motorama-style hybrid that offers food for thought. I'm sure other photoshoppers have plenty of examples...let's see a few.
Someone had posted ascan of a picture of a '59 Chevy that had been cut in half and taped back together (the picture, not the car) with a sectioning job done. I liked it so I played around with this other '59 Chev picture to get the same effect. Not sure where the tail lights would go, but I like the overall effect.
Here's one I was playing around with. Did the original a few years ago but hadn't tried sectioning it.
My avatar. It was a real quick one to show what my sister what I was saying by chop, section, and drop. Its done off a low res picture I got off a craigslist add. I should find a better picture and do a better one. Ryland
