Aftermarket turn signals question on 1937 Ford

I installed one of those aftermarket turn signal units to my original steering column when I converted the car to 12 volt. I've attached a picture of it. There is a little red light in the center of the unit that flashes when the hazard 4-ways are on but it is on a little less bright all the time the power is on. Is it supposed to be on like that all the time? I've checked all the grounds and it seems to work correctly other than that. Thanks .

I have the same unit and can only get the left green signal light to flash. Whats with that?

 

Is that a SignalStat unit? It looks very similar. Mine is a SignalStat and the light blinks along with whatever lights are flashing, but is off the rest of the time. Did yours come with a schematic?

 

I put one of those on a Model A Truck for a customer. Could you tell me the wire colours please?

Try swapping L and P wires at the flasher and see what happens.

 

what are you using for front turn signal lights?
