Event Coverage Hot Rod Invasion III: Invading Big Bear Lake, Ca August 29th 11 am till Sunset

1. Sorry but for reason beyond my control Hot Rod Invasion III has been canceled in Big Bear Lake, Ca @ B's backyard Bar-B-Que if you still decide you are heading to Big Bear for that weekend. I don't recommended giving your business to B's Backyard Bar-B- Que

2. We will still have Hot Rod Invasion III in Fullerton, Ca at 2J's lounge at 120 W. Houston, Fullerton,Ca 92832. (A half of block off the 91 fwy and Harbor blvd behind the Shell gas station, across from Shoe City).

3. Will will still have the Sexy DJ Sara Shindig spinning vintage vinyl all day, with Los Duggans and the Rocketz playing live in the afternoon/ evening. $5.00 COVER 21 OVER. INSIDE

3. We will have the famous $1 tacos back this year again. Walk thru our vendor booths selling: vintage-style clothing, posters, hats and art; also pin-up hair stylists, make-up stylists, photographers and more!

4. How much is it to enter my Traditional Rod or Kustom? FREE just come enjoy a fun day of music and friends.

What are the car show requirements?
1967 and prior TRADITIONAL style rods and Kustoms ONLY <
No visible billet anything! Especially wheels!
No digital gauges
No IFS on open wheeled cars
Traditional looking choppers and bobbers ONLY! (No modern West Coast Choppers, OCC style bikes)

5. Pin-up photo shoot contest for the 2010 Bombshell-n-Ink Calendar!!!! (We will be shooting on site for the 2010 Bombshell-n-Ink pin-up and Hot Rod calendar, with girls posing with traditional hot rods and kustoms,)

Ah the last time I was in Big Bear Lake I got a $390 ticket from the local popo, but thats when I was young and deserved it.

This looks really cool, Hotrods, Customs, and Vintage boats,,,,I can't wait.

 

And there is a vintage Air show that day at Big Bear Airport for 1940's price of $1
So we will also have vintage aircraft flying over head. : )

This show is really worth going to.Great venue in Big Bear,and the air quality up there is awesome.Hopefully the Caddy is roadworthy by the time this comes up.

I'd love to make it if I didn't live so far away. The Pasadena Roadster Club used to have runs to Big Bear Lake in the late 40's...I was probably 5 then when my parents took us, saw hot rods for the first time, was hooked...hope everyone has a blast!

 

Big Bear seems to bring out a lot of stories, and memories from people. Always great to hear, and that what started this show being moved to Big Bear

nice..... the drive up the mtn to big bear is a great, and beautiful, reliability run. great idea (i used to live up there for a couple years.)

Here is the Plan for the Cruise up to Hot Rod Invasion III is as follows: BAD BOB will be heading up the cruise up the the Mountain to Big Bear!! Leaving Omega Burger (309 W Chapman Ave, Orange, CA )in Old Town Orange, meeting at 6.00 am leaving by 6:30 He will head out to 55 north to 91 east to 210 north to 10 east, exit University turn left go passed Redlands University to Hwy 38 ( E. Lugonia/Mentone Blvd/Mill Creek Road) turn Right. At this Point Bad Bob will pick one last stop for gas, and to double check your car (as this is last stop before heading up mountain roads ) Follow Hwy 38 all the way to Big Bear Blvd turn left on Big Bear Blvd . Following Big Bear Blvd tell you take a right at Alden Rd the road to the peninsula where Hot Rod Invasion III will be 350 Alden Rd. Big Bear Lake, Ca 92315
