A dead stock original '29 model A sport coupe that my dad had to putt around in. It was the only thing that would make it through the snow storm in St. Paul that weekend. I was born on friday, March 13th, how cool is that? Ironically, my mom drove around in the same car to help induce labor, (bounce bounce bounce)!

    I came home in dad's 32 Ford sedan (not in 1932 :p)

My 1st kid- Brought the wife & kid home in a early 70's HVAC utility truck loaded down w/ a rooftop package unit. I caught shit for years for that.
    Man's gotta work ya know.

This '62 Falcon that my dad bought new at Rett-White Ford in Albany, CA. My dad had been recalled into the USAF after the '61 Berlin Crisis and this photo was taken at Robins AFB, GA several months before I was born. I was born on day one of the Cuban Missile Crisis and Robins became a staging area for hundreds of USAF bombers, interceptors, transports, etc., all moving south for a possible conflict over the missiles. My mom and dad said that the jet noise was almost constant for two weeks after I was born (October 16th) and that's probably why I wanted to become a jet pilot.

1929 Ford roadster, with 60 horse flathead. July 1947. That was one of them hot rods ya hear about. Dad was showing me a pic of him holding me beside the car, only weeks ago. I'll have to hit him up for it and I'll post it.

My oldest came home in a 66 Fairlane GTA convertable. The youngest in a 78 Ford van.

  12. a '70 Impala or a '61 Comet. Stories differed over the years, it was one of the previous two because dad hated mom's 65 Plymouth Sport Fury and they left it sitting in the yard where a Tulsa Freeway now exists. Mom bought it new before she met my Dad, once raced a Tulsa cop, on the street, and won...with her best friend in the passenger seat freaking out hahahaha! Maybe dad hated it because every time he would drive it he got pulled over :D

Dad is the only person I know who thought he got ripped off because his 51 ford convertible (someone told me it had longhorn horns mounted to the hood...he was one of those crazy bullriders in the 50s!) had a built flathead and got worse fuel mileage than his buick straight 8!

I got the racing bug from Mom, obviously ;)

'72 super beetle convertible that my Pop traded off for a 74 demo model LTD with a landau roof and hide away headlights. Dad says that was "one good lookin' car". I don't know if i would approach that same decision, but it did have one of those built in "kid seats" when you flipped the armrest down on the front split bench. Lol.
