I went to the show last year and it was cool. There were a few fast cars nothing crazy. It was like weekend warrior cars mixed with the antique drags.
What I like about it too was that the staging lanes were moving and the cars were getting there fills on multiple passes.
I was planning on taking the 51 out there to tear up the 1/8th mile but the trip looks like it's not going to happen for me.

7/26 Garden of Angels Show Yucaipa 9-2

 

I think the Barona (Lifters ??) show is on the 25th.

Mike Shaw's cruising Van Nuys is that same night.

 

My brother and I were debating if we wanted to go deal with the shity parking so we can check out the show.
I think we are goin to cruise.Were are you guys meeting? I read something about meeting at in n out.

Groucho, a friend of mine sends me this list every now and then, this should help you out.

If you are going to the San Dimas Show like last year, park at the CVS parking lot behind the Starbucks on the South East corner to save the $$$ A lot of cars will be parked in that lot this year (some people are Boycotting the show due to some B.S. with one of the promoters), or park behind the Early Ford Store if there is still room...

If you don't remember, I'am the guy you gave that cool catch can to from your 68 Z/28 at Kevins in Reseda many years ago.

This Saturday July 18th Grand Opening and Car Show at Herbert Performance 15298 El Prado Road Chino CA Free entry and I hear a load of old drag racers are going to show up. Opens at 9.00 am. It would be nice to see some HAMBers there and since Chet Herbert passed a shot while ago, it is sure to be a commemorative kind of nostalgia deal.

It's actually called GlenOaks cafe now. The car club still holds their monthly cruise there.

This Sunday is the Art Center Car Show at the Art center College in Pasadena in the hills above the Rose Bowl. Taint cheap (like $60 at the door) but it's world class stuff. Theme this year is "By Air, Land and Sea". Featured guest is Burt Rutan.
