I found this today at Long Beach Vets. I have never seen one before and had to have it. Anyone know anything about these? I Googled it and didn't come up with much. The guy I bought it from says it has been in his family since it was new and that it is all origional except for the handle bars. The engine is a 3hp Briggs and Stratton. I did find a picture of the cover of M/T's 1967 parts catalog and there is one pictured among other parts. Thanks for any info.

Wow! That's really cool. It is utterly amazing to read about the things that man had going on at the same time. It's like there were 4 or 5 clones of Mickey Thompson running around at the same time doing all these different things.

One of my friends in the neighborhood had one. He put a 8hp Briggs on it,Had a showdown (big race) with the Spoiled kid from another block who had Rupp Cub. Big Hype in School the whole week prior to race day. They race around the block and the M/T won. Cops would Chase him all the Time. We had a Prick neighbor who would call the Police on us all the time.

I've always wondered... does Mickey Thompson's casket have fins and "M/T" on it?

Thanks for all the feedback. What I've learned so far is that these were made by Jim Dugan Ent. in Long Beach for King O Lawn in a few different variations. Thanks for the replies, please keep them coming if you know anything more. Mickey's casket may not have had fins, but I hope mine does!

WOW...Had one of these when I was 7-8 years old or about 40 years ago. Mine was Orange and looked just like yours! If I remember right my Dad bought it at Sears in Northridge CA....My brother and sister and I used to rip up the streets in front of the LAPD Chief of Police's house (Ed Davis) and all the neighbors bitched but Ed told his officers to leave the kids in the neighbor hood alone! Right on ED---Hey the Taco 22 an 44 had "ZERO" on the Mickey Bike! Would loive to own one again...Wanna sell it???

  26. What kind of $$$$$$$$$ do you want for that bike ? Please ?

Hey I saw your MT minibke. great find! I also found one a couple of years ago. It was pretty tore up but had all original parts except for engine. Mine has a different frame than yours and my serial # is BS 02220 which I believe is a newer model. These are very rare and hard to find.

I found this one in a friends attic about 10 years ago,was very trashed ,front fork was trashed badly used fork from another bike to fix this one.I needed something to make runs in the pits, you know food ,fuel and the restrooms were always at the other end of the track. I loved it cause I could pick it up with one hand and strap it to the sprint cars rub bars and not have to worry about it getting messed up. Motor came from a racing gokart ,it will haul ass but hard to stop ....no brakes ....just drag your feet.
Still have it ...it is hanging from the rafters in my shop. Friend I got from said it was a Mickey Thompson bike .He did describe a id plate and clutch cover along the lines of what are on the M/T bikes ....don't know as it was very hacked up.
