Cruising returns to Van Nuys Blvd

YEAh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I have never understood what the problem is with "you brought it, take it with you." At our freeway off ramp the pigs that travel I-5 seem to get off just to leave trash and dirty dipers.

 

That's what I did. Right in the back seat.

 

I took the picture of that Mopar and I can also vouch for the owner that he wasn't doing any burnouts. What you see in the picture is engine smoke. Here's the link to my video of that same scene. Yes, I can operate a video camera and a digital SLR at the same time! LOL.

Oh now that was a wash. only 5 cars showed up. I mean it was nice to eat with my friends but you would think that the guy who organized it would at least show up. What a putz!

 

After Groucho and you left In'nOut, I stayed a for a short time while Rand ate dinner. When we left, we went down the boulevard towards Rydell. There were about 20 cars lining the street, so we stopped for a bit. Over the course of the next hour or so, cars came and cars left. The total for the night was probably about 40 or so, with a high of about 30 at one or two given times. I left shortly after 9:00 PM and there were still about 15 cars there. The guy with the Corvette and bad hair piece did finally show up.

Rumor mill:

1) Rand was talking with a gal who said she had heard that this is an every other Wednesday night thing. She was corrected by Rand.

2) Two other guys that asked us about when this cruise thing happens. They stated that they had heard that there were over 2000 cars at the previous happenings. Again, they were corrected but informed that this is still a growing thing.

 

By the way, just so there is no misunderstanding, I do agree. The thing was a wash!

That is why I said I didn't know for sure since I didn't see it. I didn't want to throw anyone under the bus that I didn't know did something wrong for sure.

Trash bags on tghe posts are a good plan, it sucks that people can't take thier trash out, but it's better then nothing. If the lot starts closing at 10 I can help clean up.

i stoped by rydell after in n out. ask some people to remove there cars from the rydell lot. they were very nice about it and moved them out.
