Restored stocker in my 1963 Ford Consul Capri. The delicate pot metal horn ring was broken so I made one from scratch out of steel and had it chromed.

This wheel is getting fitted to my '29 R.P.U.
It's off a deuce.I removed the damaged plastic coating from the rim and spokes.Rim is now powder coated and the hub/spokes sanded and polished, awaiting final polishing.

Here's my 17" Bell style wheel. There's chrome under that tape. When I pull it off I'll post a new pic...

Was it Stutz who had a rather ingenious concentric steering-wheel system in the '20s? The steering was quite quickly geared and hence heavy at low speeds, but there was a small steering wheel in the middle of the main wheel with a much slower ratio for manoeuvering purposes. It was definitely one of the American quality marques; I can't remember if it was indeed Stutz.

I knew a guy who was so fat that he turned his steering wheel upside down so the dish would face down and give him more room for his belly!

  25. This is the same idea as Charlie Chops, but with a cut down Ford banjo mated to a Grant wood wheel. Done by Kirk Duquett for his '32 Ford Roadster Pickup Woody.

The device in the center is the "trafficator" that combines the horn and turn signal functions.

Over to the right is a Halda Speedpilot, a '60s time, speed, distance rallye calculator and below that is a period Becker EuropaII Stereo Radio.

What?? Not a hot rod? Here's the small block Ford mock-up:

and even better, Mike (who's a great guy to deal with, by the way) did this beauty for the Doane Spencer II Roadster:

That wheel is from a 1950s Ford Consul... Its got the turn signal switch built into the horn rim, which doesn't turn when the wheel does. They actually had semaphores on them...
