Art & Inspiration O/T, Model Car Junk Yard,..... Amazing !, you won't believe it

I just got this in a email,... And the first model car crash is kind of gruesome, as there is a guy that went through the windshield and is on the hood of his car,... but once you get past that,.... this guy is very talented in what he does,.... but he has to much time on his hands !

Its been posted here every three to six months for a couple years ..

Still interesting ,like someone above said ,he's into his hobby ! ! !

 

If he would share his secret for getting plastic to rust, maybe we could get some of these modern cars off the road sooner.

 

I have to admit, I usually don't look at the Model car posts,... so it's most likely that I missed it,... sorry if this was poster before.

 

if this is the guy im thinking of, i hate him a 1936 ford "barn find" on ebay for $49.99 no reserve and i open it and its a model, gets me every time. very nice work.

Amazing--he's got the rust down pat! I've seen quite a few old race cars,and it seems that he's worked from originals or pictures,cause it's right on.

Dude I have been to that yard many times but the guy wont sell a thing out of it.

 

He even knows exactly were each particular car rusts out amazing

 

5 minutes and 42 seconds well spent. very cool

 

You mix some metal filings into the paint and expose it to moisture.
That's the way a lot of people "rat" fiberglass bodies.Others drill a few holes to add further credence to it.
I use to dream of finding a Willys coupe in a salvage yard.Now I do and I won't fit.

 

So the deployed airbags must be condoms?

 

As a former serious model builder,I can appreciate the level of detail he's gone into. A bit gruesome in the first project,though. The rust is probably some good airbrushing,and (especially on the cop car and Camaro) very realistic. Any modeler will tell you that one of the most difficult aspects is "scale realism";easier said than done.

 

The rust was likely done with Rust-All, which has been around at least 15 years or more.

That dude is talented, and I bet he is killing it with the ladies too. Gettin laid every night for sure!

 

That must require a level of patience that I'll never have. I can't imagine how much time it would take to create even one of those let alone the body of work he has built. AMAZING!!!

Not only does he have a lot of time on his hands he has the talent to go with it. Amazing!

 

A lot of time and talent in them....

but one thing that always bugs the shit out of me, is people who go through all that hard work, but don't take 30 seconds to remove casting lines before they even start.

 

awesome work.....the rust is some of the most realistic ive seen. the collison jobs were very accurate as well, very talented guy
