Western Maryland StreetRod Roundup, Cumberland, MD Labor Day weekend. Check out pictures from the last couple years here http://public.fotki.com/wcsr/
The Hot Rod Riot in Manchester, CT July 11th. There are nice cars, but you also have to put up with motorcycles. Loud music blaring day and night Girls and your fair share of debauchery. Other good events I have attended are Milltown, for the free overnight camping. Rumblers NYC for the athmosphere of the big city and the interesting people. Ralph's Diner shows are fun. Fallout as it wraps up the season nicely. Later, Ray in CT
I will not miss RUMBLERS TERRYVILLE -MILLTOWN-FALLOUT and I hope to go to Jalop showdown this year for the 1st time. cant what for spring
Willy's Home Run In Buffalo. Three days of Nostalgia drag racing and car show. Look forward to it every year.
Jalopy Showdown Drags!!! The track is straight out of the 60's, Scary Larry and Beaver Bob are the best hosts anywhere, PERIOD. Everyone makes it through Tech and you can make as many passes down the track as you want. http://www.beaversprings.com/
I would agree Road Agents was outstanding, they had the best group of cars in my opinion, hopefully they will return one day. If you have never gone to the NYC Rumblers show, it is a must. The atmosphere is like no other I have been to. You can people watch all day to. Rumblers Nomads in connecticut is great, Very relaxed, great cars, and great bands. Hot Rod Fallout is turning into a great show as well, they let a few late 60's cars in but its in a nice low field and the food is real good.
Dont forget about the roadrats ny show in june other than that one latimore jalopy showdown rcks/ roadrockets indiana rocks/ and hunnert rocks
Yeah OC is fun and i never missed a year until the Jalopy Showdown shared the same dates last year. Other than the rain becoming a tradition, the biggest problem with Ocean City is that most of the cops are Assholes! 4 years ago i was down there and they were taking decibel readings and ticketing for excessive noise violations. The MAYOR showed up and had them point the machine at a City Bus which was Louder than the majority of the cars being ticketed. I know this because i was IN the OC courtroom when the cases were being thrown out!
I think it's safe to say she's gonna be mad. You might wanna take her with you, unless your doctor said that sleeping on the couch is good for your back...
Killer Filler will be playing outside during the car show (a HRW, first, I believe) from around 1:00 - 3:30. I haven't been able to make the car show for a few years, since KF is always booked at a huge festival in Durham on the Saturday. Hope to roll the '51 this year and looking forward to throwing down the surf, garage, and twang all afternoon. We're also playing inside at 5:30 or thereabouts... still waiting to hear from DQ on details. Hope to catch some HAMBers at HRW! -murph
