Thought I'd share this.I found this car a few months back in Madera,Ca.
The car was turned into a Hot Rod in 1961 and is titled as a 1961 "special construction" The Previous Owner found in in Madera and bought it off the original builders brother. In 1961 it ran a Flathead V8 for power with a 39 Ford Transmission. At some point in the 1960's it got a Buick Nailhead and a Borg Warner T-89B 3 Speed Transmission. Its a real Steel Ford Body,40 Ford Brakes,40 Ford Rear Axle, split wishbones. When the previous owner found it , it was in bad shape. The engine was wasted, transmission needed rebuilding, and all the brakes were shot.He rebuilt a 1955 322 Nailhead he had lying around from his 55 Buick Century, rebuilt the transmission and fixed the brakes and built the zoomie headers that are on the car now. When I got the car it had very ugly rear coil over shocks, a single Holley,Ugly Yellow Plug Wires,Cheapo modern Tach and a Non matching Auto Meter Temp gauge with no seat belts and a real small steering wheel. Since I've Owned it I've replaced all the shocks with So-Cal Red Shocks,Ditched the ugly upper Radiator flex hose, Vintage Speed 2x2 Rochesters,NOS Mallory Magspark with a Pertronix Conversion, Cloth wrapped Wires and Raja terminals from The Hot Rod Company,Moon Tach,Matching SW Temp Gauge,Seat Belts from the Hot Rod Co.,Larger Dia Steering Wheel,Chrome Acorn covers, O'brien Truckers Finned Coil and Voltage Reg Covers. And it does run a Gennie still by the way.It still has a Black California License plate from 63.The car is a blast to drive! Rear Axle is leaking a little bit and theres some rewiring that should be done. Also I dont like the 10" Rear Wheels.Thinking about going down to 7" with Narrower Cheater Slicks from my buddy Cody at Hurst Tires.

I got a soft spot for pre25 T roadsters. I got a soft spot for yours too.

Guess you'll need some garage space for it,i'll look after one of the Mopars for ya.

Nice car but the nailhead is the best part of the car.

I called the guy about the car and he sent me some pics by snail mail, can't remember why I didn't jump on it. Looks like a good find. If it were mine I'd try to find pics of it from the original build and go that route. Either way, cool car.

Looks cool, I like the Professor FATE reference, funny.

Some 16" BnL blackwalls and Moons would be cool, leave the goofy lettering.

Really cool except for those hideous snow tires in back. Put some real slicks on it and it'll look awesome!

It needs some 7.50x16s on the back to give it a proper rake.

Wow very Kool. Wouldn't take much to make it look right. It would be interesting to know the story of it's build. Looks like it might have been redone in the late 60s or early 70s.

Sweet bucket! Just had ours out on the Skulls Kruz last weekend. In fact I am going to take it to the store right now. These buckets are fun as hell!

You've taken a lot of the ugly out of it. Just a few more things. Maybe lean that windshield back some.
