Bamboo seat frame! HA! You beat me to it! ...now I can't do it... or maybe I still can...?

And El Conejo, I've seen your pup at the Pomona Fairplex... very nice.

  2. I came across a Studebaker sanctuary, today. The picture quality isn't good, but you get the idea.

Nice Stude and beautiful daughter. Hope you have a shotgun.:D My sister & brother-in law live in Snohomish. Good people but not into classic or hot rods although my brother-in-law can fix anything mechanical.

Anyone know the builder? Built around 1999-2000 and believe the guy was from Illinois.

  11. Oh yeah that thing is wicked! I like the more doors better than the two doors.

Bloodyjack, I think I am in love with your daughter! She must be your greatest creation!

This was my 55 a few years back... had a 62 289 Stude Engine, 4 speed, a limited slip diff, this car was fun! The reason the hoods off is it flew open on me while nailing it from a stoplight...lol [IMG]

I am sorry to report that an old friend of mine has passed away back in January 009.
    Mike Hill of Missouri.
    A fellow Stude nut.

We used to race with him and race against him at different meets including past Indy GoodGuys meets.
His brother was at Indy this year to make a few memorial passes in his brother's car.

This used to be a red 53 without any tail fins.

Some of you may have seen it at Indy and Street Machine Nats in DuQuoin Illinois in years past when it was red.

A few years ago Mike put on some fins and a new paint job.

Sorry to see another friend go.
