I'm gonna C-Notch my 2R5 next weekend. Not bagging it, keeping parallel leaves and lowering blocks. Just need some more suspension travel

    Any pictures/advice to help please.

How big of a notch are you planning? Do you want to cut into the bed or not?

I'm probably not going to cut above the top chassis rail. I'm only looking for 3"-4" more clearance. I suspect the upper shock mounts may intrude into the bed though.

perhaps move the bed floor up a few inches to achive a bit more suspention travel without having the hardware protrude through the bed floor. Or then again your bed floor is nice and painted. Very cool truck. Good to see another Stude guy!

Here is a pic of an 8in notch (not mine) and it went through the bed 6 inches. Are you doing it yourself or buying a kit.

Kit ......? Kit..? No, it'll be all down to me. Can't blame anybody else then.
    Thanks for the pic.

Three or four inches of travel?in myexperience anything that is already hitting the frame and needs that much more will have to go above the frame with the type of notch shown above.you can shorten it however to be just above where the frame rail used to be.i dont want you to have to do it twice.also not sure about studes but everyone i have done the rear end would end up hitting the floor of the bed .

Could just modify the bed mounts a little bit or put taller bushings instead of chopping into it.
