Not exactly a traditional hot rod, but it could be. I didn't buy it, I may stop and ask about it the next time I get up that way (it is near a friends house).

    Get the tractor !!

  12. Looks more like a 9N or early 8N Ford to me. . . :D, sitting behind some foreign job.

Jaguar, late 50s? is my guess on that black shell, in front of the old Ford.

Yeah, screw the car get thar 8N Ford

  14. It's a highly sought-after patina anode. Nah..it's a Jag, and just to replace the grill and glass would be more trouble than I would want to take on. As said, get the tractor.

Hmm,that front looks a bit too curved to be a N tractor?

Could even be a MK9...cool looking cars (I have a 60's Stype), but unfortunately not worth a whole hell of a lot. Parts can be pretty spendy too depending on what you need (for original stuff, I assume you wouldn't go that route :D)

Thanks, I will let it rust in peace, it looks like all the cool parts are gone already too.
The tractor probably doesn't start, none of them start. If it did start the brakes wouldn't work, none of them work. Other than that they are great tractors.

Yeah the Ford Tractor is way cooler than the Jag! Watched about 15 or so get smushed at a Salvage in Scott Louisiana back 10 years ago or so!

I think it's got potential. No worse than starting with any other body shell. Ditch the driveline, put in a domestic inline six, work in a '34 Ford-esque grille, rewire it to dispatch the Lucas demons, and forget about the windows.

  24. In case anyone's interested, this car (MK 9) does NOT have independent rear, but DOES have four wheel discs, though I NEVER want to rebuild those calipers ever again.

Gett the tractor started, tow the Jag to the side of the road, pull the engine trans and front and rear ends and trash the rest. Then keep the tractor, put the flathead v8 conversion in it and have some fun.

A little too much "boot," and not enough "bonnet" on that model.

Could also be a MK8 (Definatly a Jaguar) - they also have the one piece windshield, but too much of the trim - side windows - is gone to be of much use. Cheap to get a whole one. Have more than that on the POS sitting in my shed waiting for the crusher - everyone else is right - grab the tractor!
