well it's back to work on the 34 project.some of you may remember the drama it started, but i'll try to keep it down for now.

with using a 427 small block ford,we needed to build some one-off headers.our plan is to build a complete stainless exhaust system,so i ordered some nice flanges, colectors, and bends, and got to work.here are some pictures of the compleated headers.

    hope you like.

Danny, I was fortunate to have been able to work with a true welding professional, another gentleman named Danny here in my area. He, like you obviously are, is exceptionally skilled and I recognize some very nice work from you too. Please allow me to post one shot that demonstrates why I can see your expertise in your work. I witnessed it for 16 sets of 304/409 st. st. mufflers. Great job on those headers!

How do you get such good TIG welds so far down in a narrow area like the "vertical" welds on those collectors? (Not that my welds would ever look that good in the first place, but...).

Are you using a gas lens... or just a really small cup on the torch... or????

i wish i could take credit for the collectors, they come from SPD EXHAUST.their welds are out of this world.i swear they have little green men tied to a welder somewhere.one day i want to weld like that.

for my small welds,i grind a very sharp point on the electrode, and use a small cup.i also use .030" stainless wire as a filler.

    i hope this helps.
