Ok so today i was bored and decided to remove the dirty black carpet from the 54 chevy. I wanted to see how bad the floors would be. First thing to do was to remove the front and back seat. Ok not to bad. This is what Im working with. What do I use to clean the metal floor and trunk floor? How clean is to clean? I only found to rust holes. what kind of product can i use to spray the intire floor to prevent it from rusting? Im looking at info about POR15 and Rust Bullet.

    mine was similar
i gave it a good wire brushing (by hand) then vacuum'd out all the loose stuff.
then just a wipe down with a damp towel to pick up anything left.
Then 3 coats of POR15 (the black stuff).
Has held up now for 2 years.

I did about the same on my 46 then did a undercoat spray on top then laid the insulation pad down,I don't believe I will have any floor rust issues again.

those floors look great if you want to go cheap$ you can wire brush it clean vacume it up good, paint it with metal ecthing primer (creates a rust proof surface and paint with rustoleum
i did one of my cars with por15 very pricey
then did another car with rustoleum with same results for way less
but keep in mind this will only help on the inside you have to try to do the underside allso or the rust will come in from the outside
i use a high desity roller to apply paint they do not make a mess and very easy to work with here is a sample of stuff i did on the 57
