Anyone in the area gonna come over to the swap meet this weekend?

It is going to be bigger than it usually is .........that is my understanding anyway -

I was told I could not be guaranteed the spot at the next show since "it will be back to the normal size"

whatever that means...........I have never done this show but I had many many people that attended the Carl Casper show tell me that I should be at this swap meet and NOT the Casper show.........

so - I will be at the swap meet this weekend.

    Hope to see ya'll there.

ALSO - all those in Louisville area should note that this may be my only appearance this year in your town......

the NSRA nationals are just getting too expensive AND I have a comic/sci fi show in Chicago that same weekend so I will most likely just do the Chicago show and skip the NSRA this year

    OK

if anyone has any traditional hot rods up and running this time of year and ya wanna get together and shoot some video on Friday - let me know

    later

just find any airport that is by the Louisville airport and you will be within 2 miles of the Expo Center

so no one has their cars up and running yet this year?

so there is just not a very big traditional hot rod scene in Louisville huh?

  10. It is very limited. Lots of street rods and muscle cars.

  11. I'll be there selling some of my stuff. Space ER 10, somewhere towards the rear of the South Wing,

It's a short trip, just under 400 mi. Charlie and I have both been to this swap many times. I was even there last year in the snow storm. Lucky for me I came down on Fri and was staying at a hotel just across Crittenden

Kind of depends on what you're looking for and what you consider a deal. There is a lot there from early to late. As I said that's a short trip I've also been to the swap at Lowes Motor Speedway (Charlotte)

  18. I've been attending this swap meet off and on for close to 25 years. Always haul something home. I'll have a bunch of early Ford steel wheels, a few pairs of Halibrand Sprints, a set of 16" Firestone dirt tires and tubes, and some '32 parts...the rest is junk...LOL

I was there. Wish I knew you were a board member. I would have said Hi. My Dad's buddy found a grill for his 50 chevy. I went home empty handed. Nice stuff there though.

I thought the selection and prices were really good this year. Didn't see a lot of folks carrying parts around? Found a few parts I was lookin for.

  30. I had a fairly good sales weekend. met a few HAMBers - remember Bubba's name cuz he had it plastered all over his jacket - LOL

I thought sales were a little slow and that the crowd was smaller than in the past. Still had a good time though.
