I want to drop my Merc to the ground with airbags. Unfortunetly can afford it yet. I would love to see what I am saving my money for. I think it would be worth it. While you're at it, I'm thinking of ghost flames too. Thanks a lot.

I wouldn't touch that car! Sit's right, looks right! wow....
Sorry i can't help the photo shop request..
That car just look's too damn nice just like it is and i had to say it..
It's nice not to see one scraping the ground every once in a while, especially one that looks that clean.

    Thanks Tony
I do love it, but I would like the option to sit it down in the grass if need be.

I don't have Photo shop, But I have a merc that sits of the ground! You would have to channel the body or go with a different front clip to get this low. I myself channeled as I'm running a flathead and "stock" front suspension.[IMG]

No help with the photo shop .But If you drop it in the weeds you will have to move the pipes or they will be smashed into the bottom of the door.I love the car the way it is .My 2 cents

Flames basically in a non contrasting color. Could be pearl over the top, different sheen, but not noticeable.

Your welcome dude, if you give more information on the flames, or some kind of reference image, ppl might be able to help a bit more... cos there's so many different types of flame combinations...

  15. No ghost flames. Frank they are played out. If you are a little bored, remove those side pipes and do a different grille.

not right though if want it that low the pipes have to go. plus the front bumper well never get all the way down with that front end so why bother? the rear bumper is mounted to high to touch to? so you wanna have bags just to have your rockers laying flat? kinda stupid when the car already looks great

  18. Frank is that a '55 grille in your Merc? Do you have any front shots of your car? I just got a '55 grille and am researching the dimensions.

That merc is super cool! ghost flames are not that cool!

  20. I'd put a Starsky stripe on it before ghost flames or air bags.

Yeah that's perfect as is. I'd give my left nut for a Merc like that. Any Takers?:D Ive decided for my 40th Birthday, about a year and a half away, I'm going to buy me a Mercury.

    Hey Frank,

    Love the Merc!!

If I owned it all I would do is lower it some more. Ghost flames?? I would
think hard about that before you did it. It will cost ya quite a bit and if you
would get tired of it it will cost you some more. If Bags is your only choice
then I would go that direction. Mercs look good on the ground. My Merc, I
used Air shocks in the back and I run them at 8lbs. It is low but I can still
drive it around with out having to raise it. Long road trips I'll put 50lbs in and
it raises it a couple of inches.

I like the East & West coast styles so I like the Lake pipes. Leaving them on will
make the Merc look even lower.

    Just my Kustom 2cents.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Here's a photo that I did when I was chopping my
57 Buick. Wanted to see what it would look like on
the ground. Didn't have photoshop, so I used a
pair of scissors and scotchtape -- Try it, it works!

Yes it is a 55 Desoto. If you'd like me to measure it for you, let me know.
