Why do T-buckets get no respect?

Wow! I'm sorry your car got banged up on this, but...WOW! I'd blow this up poster size and hang it on my living room wall if it was me! Very cool T indeed...

 

My buddy's 60 year old mom drives this one wearing a poodle skirt. Big radical cam and piloted by women...people trip out.

 

I love my T... I've done 300+ mile cruises on it, more of an updated fad T I suspect... I've come to learn it's not a completely a traditional hothod, it's still more hot rod than not... no door, no fenders, no stereos, no power steering or brakes, mostly pre 60's parts except for engine was 64 327 with camelback heads. But I had a vision, I built it, used a lot of quality parts, didn't want the interior to be typical t-bucket... I had a blast building it and it's a blast to drive!

 

Perhaps they may get more respect if they looked like this.

 

The crowd is probably wondering why the car has a pile of nazi helmets on the back .Back then,there were still plenty of folk who found such stuff offensive.

that is my T-Bucket.... am I looking for respect with it?....NO i could give a fuck what people think about it i have a blast with it and love the car. it was my dads hot rod from the early 70s he did the car and had it a number of years, sold it when i was about 3 or 4 it was gone for 16 years, i found the car in a little gargage and bought it back, it didnt run....long story short alot was fucked up. but the paint was still great after all those years... nothing from this car is a "kit", the frame was made by my father, the front end is from a 60's ford E-van, the spring pads were ground off and mounts for a spring behind setup were made, the hair pin style four bars front and rear were made by my dad then chromed, the rear end is from a 56 chev. motor is a 327, super t-10 4 speed trans, 60s vw pedals, i could go on and on about the neat little things that this car has...... if anything it should get some respect because the car has been around for 36+ years. but like i said i dont really care who likes it and who doesnt. i love the car.

Mine was a barn find altered that last ran is 1975. The back wheels and engine are for mock up purposes. With that said, I think mine is ugly as shit.

Bucket T's were my first love. They can be really inovative and cool or pretty shakey and wierd at best. I respect a lot of them.

 

This is one of my dad's cars. It is a blast to drive. It'll drive in a straight line at 90mph with no hands on the wheel. It was built in 1972-1973 and I have met and talked with the original builder.
