Wifey has a conference in Phoenix on the 23rd - 25th so I've got some free time to play. Going up to the Canyon on the 19th and coming back into Phoenix on the 21st for the rest of the week. Looked at the listings for various cruise nights, looking at going to Manzanita for the sprints, but was wondering if anyone could recommend any hot rod shops, or related activities to do. Even a good scrap yard could be fun. Thanks much !!!!
You could hit the Glendale Community College automotive swap meet Mar. 21-22, 59 ave. & Olive, Glendale. & the big sat. night cruise ins are the Scottsdale Pavilions shopping center, Pima & Indian Bend, Scottsdale. & the Safeway at 83 ave. just off the 101 (west) 1/2 mi. n. of Union Hills, Glendale. The closest junk yard w/a lot of old cars is Desert Valley Auto Parts & their info is online. If you want something off beat but automotive related check out the Hall of Flame Fire Museum 6101 e. Van Buren, Phoenix, by the Phoenix Zoo. Lot's of fire trucks & apparatus.
Isn't there some Rockabilly fest at the F1 Raceway that weekend as well. I seem to recall having a flyer for it. Car Show, Bands, etc.........
Yup this starts on friday its like 65 bucks for the weekend or you can get the v.i.p pass for 3 days for a meer 250.00 bcks... See yall at G.C.C swap meet!
