I didn't know Andy personally, but I was always reading about him on the HAMB ... my heart genuinely sank when I read this. RIP Andy, I know he will be severely missed.

as far as I'm concerned, andy patches/decals are a MUST. He and chris really dug my chevy so I really want a decal for it... Keep andy cruising with us, ya know?

God bless the family and those who knew him best. This is very sad,...a life cut so short.

Keep the rubber side down on the streets of gold Andy!

Just got back from Andys house with Fitzee.
We had the little AV8 running...checked the oil, just a bit of choke on the twin carbs and she fired right up.
Double checked all the lights, lugs etc, while the Flathead softly rumbled...
We had to make sure all was good for her most important cruise.

Dad Chris asked Fitzee and I to take Andys Hot Rod and follow behind Andy in the funeral procession tomorrow morning.

It will be an absolute honour for the both of us to do this one last little thing for our pal Andy...
and also allow the HAMB itself to be represented by the Hot Rod that HAMB donations made possible to build.

I'm 100% sure thats how Andy would've wanted it.

A great tribute to HAMBANDY. Thanks for representing all of Andy's friends here on the HAMB. I sure that he'll be smiling down from above. Godspeed, Andy.

The final evening with Andy was a very busy evening as the people were everywhere to pay respect to Andy. There was a brief story and picture of Andy and Chris in the news paper.....very nice.

People continued to talk about how great you guys are and how wonderful the HAMB is and how it made Andys life better.

    Flowers..........man there were flowers everywhere!

The family were strong tonite which was nice, but tommorrow will bring sadness. Andy will smile down at them though, he always had a smile.

Fitz and Bill will follow the hearse in the "A" and i was given the huge honor of carrying our buddy to his final resting place. The family has kept his HAMB family close and know its importance to them and to their son.

Im sure that we are all better for being there for Andy, and im sure Andy was better because we were there for him.

Leon, Please pass on to the Dunn family how much we will miss their son. He set an example for many of us. He made a lot of friends on the HAMB>

I agree. What a beautiful tribute for the young man.
I replied to the original post on the first page, and have read every single reply. It's taken me a long time to do this as I can only get so far before I can't see the screen. It's times like this that make me proud to be a HAMB member.

  30. It's never good news to hear these things but the thought of him being in a better, less painful place will hopefully ease the mind. Godspeed Andy but remember no laying rubber on those streets of gold.
