Hey guys I just recently purchased a 38 ford p/u rat rod. Looking to turn it into a more tradional street rod. I am here for parts, knowledge and friends. I know this truck is going to be an intense undertaking but I feel it will be worth it in the end.
    Just FYI...What I got is a 38 cab on a 33 ford chassis with a 70 nova rear and a 64 chevelle 230 c.i. w/ powerglide.
    I know...yay me:confused:.

Well here are some crappy pics. Next set I will roll outside and get some good ones. The guy I bought the truck from, said it was sitting on a 33 chevy 4dr. frame. I know the pics aren't that great, but can anyone verify that for me. To me that doesnt sound right. It has a 110 wheelbase.

Welcome from Miami County, Oh......Looks like a great project..Looks like a Chevy frame to me with the dual leaf springs front & rear..Not a 33 ford frame.......

  12. Welcome from Rockmart GA. I've owned my '38 Ford pickup since I was 14 years old, now 57. Holler at me if I can help. For starters you're looking for a '35-'40 Ford car or '35-'41 pickup/panel truck frame. The 110" wheelbase on the Chevy frame is 2" shorter that what the truck came with.
