I want to show my gratitude to everyone who contributes here and makes this site the great resource that it is. I will contribute what I can, when I can and I have already been on the receiving end when it comes to being helped by members here. Thank you! I've been around oval track cars, drag cars, slot cars and motorcycles all my life and am still fortunate to be surrounded by these things today. I raced oval track cars on pavement during the 80's and 90's in Michigan and Ohio and now spot and crew for a local race team. I relax with slot cars, a couple of bikes and a modified '66 Vette coupe. It's sort of a survivor with period mods like wheel flares & fat tires, side pipes and no front bumpers. I'm also very fortunate to be able to hang out with some great hot rodder's and veteran drag racers in the metro Detroit area and am still catching up with their stories. Welcome from Warren.... The people who belong really know their stuff about Classics, Hot Rods, Race Cars. It would be interesting to find out how many of them attended our Woodward Dream Cruise (only one of the few things in the metro Detroit area that we can be proud of).
I'm not sure how many others attend but I attended last year and all the previous years I can remember. I go down with Buckle before the cruise as well. We hang out at the Shell station on Woodward on Friday nights usually.
