Kurt Hall past away sometime last night. He was my neighbor and one of my only Hot Rod buddys. He was having some breathing problems and was seeing a doctor all week. The last few days he was just feeling real run down and did not go to the Doc's and stayed home. Last night he told the wife that he was sleeping on the couch because it just seemed more comfortable. She went to wake him this mornin and thats when all the fire engines and the police arrived. Kurt passed in his sleep. He was in his early 50's.He loved Corvettes and had and has still quite a few.He also was a Harley man.He has a like new restored never riddin 29 Panhead,Also in the stable is a 78 or 79 full dresser that is also like new. Kurt was like a older brother to me that had been there and done that when ever we were talking about Hot Rods or Harleys. He built quite a few bikes and Hot Rods over the years. He leaves behind his 11 year old son and his wife. He was a close freind and I will dearly miss him.
Thoughts are w/you and his family. GOOD friends are so few that when we lose one, we lose a little piece of ourselves. RIP..............
I know what it is like to have a hot rod buddy go before you. I feel your pain. Seems that more and more are passing in their 50's. At one time I thought 50 was old, but now I think that 60 is still young.
Man I'm sorry. Some one told me that if you can make it past your early 50's you'll be golden til you 70's. I have been seeing a great deal of fine people leaving us in their early 50's and it's just really sad. My father was 54 when he passed and it took everything from me. I am truly sorry.
I feel deeply your pain, as I was in exactly the same position just a few years ago. I lost my best buddy at the early age of 58. We did all car stuff together, and life has been missing him deeply ever since. It's good to share that pain, it eventually gets better, but he will always be missed. You have my prayers that you will be comforted.
Sorry to hear about your friend, its always hard to lose someone who you see nearly every day. God Bless you and his family.
I'm also sorry. This might be a wake up call for all you he men out there. Go to the DOCTOR I felt a funny feeling in my chest a while back. No pain. I bit the bullet and went to the emergency. Four major arteries leading to my heart 90 to 95% blocked. Emergency open heart surgery. I'm fine now. GO TO THE DOCTOR. Sorry for the rant but I have also lost some close friends because they were too matcho to go to the Doctor.
Hey George, Sorry to hear of your loss Brother. Man, I know what you are feeling, I lost my oldest lifetime friend last month. He and I used to ride around our home town in Vermont in his dad's restored 37 Ford phaeton back in 1964. He died alone at home with a sudden heart attack, I hate to think of my buddy passin away alone..God Bless you and your friend!
Sorry to hear you lost your best friend and nabor, its hard to relize life is so short and good friends and Buddys are hard to come by.
Must've been a good man, we need all of those we can get and one less is a heartbreaker. My condolances to you, his wife and son.
