Matt, not sure what cable has been used, but here you can get translucent silicone HT cable thats used for wiring neon transformers to neon tubes. Its fine for points distributors...Though you need suppression caps (or not if you don't like your neighbors ) In the US its called GTO cable, which is more PVC based and I have seen it fully transparent... Check a local sign company or Tecnolux Inc, New York..
More pics of the Roadster can be found here: http://s33.photobucket.com/albums/d79/kingcoolrides/Model A Roadster/ or here: http://www.chopsnbobbers.com/productssimple.html It looks soo much better in the flesh as well, but I would say that Pete being my Stepdad and all.
Really a great piece of art! Fab roadster just the way they should look. Wonder why everyone praises this type of style, but rarely no one build?
Being in someone's museum does not make any better or worse than one that was not in one. I have seen both great and not so great in Museums. This car however is fantastic!
Cool car! Read about it in Custom Car when it was in that, and that 'Totalino' is just as cool! PS: Please join my Limey Social group, you won't regret!
That ign. wire used to be sold thru J.C. Whitney. It wasn't very 'hardy', as at night you could see MANY little sparks flying between wires and onto engine metal! Looked like Christmas. There were also similar rolls, translucent colors. Red was popular. Most guys that tried them soon went to black Packard 440. (time set: 1955-1962) Yeah, I had 'em. 1955, 13 years old. My '36 three window.
Man 14 plus years later to comment on the clear plug wires... I have had clear wires on the Caddy in my 40 now for 10 years with zero issues, runs as smooth as a gravy sandwich
