It took me 3 yrs but I finally got a title and it's in my name. Now I can start back to work on my truck.
hey charley; I still plan on the top chop; I just didn't want to waist the time on it if I couldn't get a title. RUSTY
That's great news...Yeah you hate to invest time and money into a vehicle if you know at the end you can't actually register it and drive it.
I'm glad Alabama is a NON Title state on vehilces 74 and back.....I guess were blessed in that department.
Ive always wondered what was involved getting a title to a vehicle that you might find in the woods or something. Owners long gone. Did you have to jump thru hoops or did they just drag their feet?
Unless you try to take it to another state, NC for one is giving people fits with cars from Alabama...
rustyford40; I had a friend do a labor lien on it (title 42). First person that did it didn't follow through with it. After waiting for over a yr I found another lady that did it that new what she was doing. Got my tag on Fri. should get the title in the mail in about a week. I spent the first yr looking for the guy I bought it from without any luck.
We have had to sell our cars to someone out of state that does not have a title law. Then we have to buy them back with a notarized bill of sale. then apply for a title.
